Dear Mr. Abelin,

After the presentation of your „Matteis Project – Baroque ReImagined“ that you are in the process of developing, I’m convinced that this examination of a mostly unknown Italian Baroque composer who created a furor in England at his time will certainly become a worthwhile musictheatre piece.

I’m convinced that your examination of this mysterious music by using experiences of today (Baroque playing styles, Jazz) and visual and electronic means will create an evening that will bring across the complexity of this music beyond the usual cross-over ado in an undogmatic, courageous and exciting way.
