As
Moments decay

We decode Matteis’ music, uncover Michelangelo`s frescoes – and what are we doing, other than making our own impressions of the art form? Do these images have anything to do with reality? Can we trust them?

Images which deceive – in essence one of today`s big themes. We should not make false likenesses, it is said – and perhaps not for nothing. And yet new images are continually appearing. Bill Morrison captures in his film in contrast the decay of images. These decomposed images are integrated in the form of a video-installation into A Clear View of Heaven, and exemplify that which is at the core of the project, in transitions from tangible proximity to disappearing distance.

To rise up above this, we have to find the courage to free ourselves from images, in order to make space for the new. A Clear View of Heaven: the journey into the skies can begin.
